Manic Mondays
I'm really going to try my best to update this everyday. I'll probably dissappear around exam times, but I really think this is a time in my life that I will always want to remember.
I have the three best tankmates in the world. As they are three very tall, very sweet, and very handsome young men, it sure does make sitting through gross lab much more bearable. On the first day of class our professor warned us that marriages occur too often between tankmates, or neighboring tankmates. I really don't see that happening, but I could definitely see myself as one of their bridesmaids/maids of honors. Just can't quite decide which ones of my girlfriends are lucky enough for me to introduce them to, lol.
The guys are just sweethearts, I really was scared of being stuck with three jackasses with god complexes, but they really couldn't be further from that. They knew I was having a hard time lately, and really tried to cheer me up/let me do all the sawing...I mean that is a pretty huge gesture for a guy---giving up the use of a powertool on a human body? Come on now.
On Sunday Amit and I spent a long time in the MD labs studying and talking. I can't believe I never met him, even though we both went to UT and had all the same classes. He really knows how to cheer me up. Today, Brendan and I spent lunch hour together down in the gross labs studying for our practical, he's a pretty awesome guy. He played football for Duke, really has that all-American frat boy look, and a pretty hot sorority-type girlfriend. I noticed a lot of girls trying to talk to me when they found out we were close...too bad he doesn't have eyes for anything/one but surgery. haha.
Oh and Roger...that Roger. Amit and I thought he was hispanic at first...boy were we wrong. haha. Tankmates are assigned alphabetically, and we're in the D's. Here's how our conversation went today
Amit: Man Roger, I thought for the longest time that your last name was Rodriguez
Roger: Uhh...*laughs*
Me: But we're in the D's...did you just think his name was Rog-Driguez?
Turns out Roger is Lebanese, speaks: Lebanese, English, French, Spanish (but Spainiard Spanish) and a million of those Meditteranean languages. Makes sense, he has dark features and olive colored skin, but his accent is so Antonio Banderas-ish. Anyhow, when we found out he spoke French the three of us non-french speakers proceeded to bombard him with "Ouis, sabons, etc" He must think we're such boorish Americans. Haha.
Oh well, everyday in Gross Lab is an entertaining day. It sure does stink (literally and figuratively), but it certainly makes it easier having three great people to spend it with.
