Remember When

There really are no guarantees in life. All the things you thought would happen, don't. All the things you thought would never happen, do. There are no certainties, no caution signs--nothing. All you can really do is hope for the best, try your hardest, and realize that things turn out the way they're supposed to in the end.

You asked me yesterday which one was my favorite memory....there are just so many. I know I told you I never needed to write them down when we were together, but we're young now, and I figure one day I will look back on this and smile, after having probably forgotten many of them. I'm glad that we can look back now and reminesce. No regrets, no tears, they were good times. So, in the best "chronological" order I could manage, here we go:

-the night you picked me up for our first date, then getting lost on the way to the theater....do you remember we still took that way forever?
-11am right before Bio211, when I'd walk up to WCH and you'd be sitting on the stairs with your hands in your pockets
-making you drive me home those early mornings at 4am, listening to Norah Jones "don't know why"
-driving around Austin that first semester in your car late at night, listening to "Starry eyed surprise"
-coming out of my sociology exam to see you there all dressed up :) the Friday before I left for Houston
-When you pulled out the roses behind my car seat and asked "will you be mine?"
-First time you said I love you, after our huge fight
-Coming home from Hawaii that first Christmas break and seeing you...took a picture with your new (albeit crappy) camera phone, your hair was all matted down, we looked terrible, lol
-First Valentine's Day together, when you pretended you didn't want to celebrate
-Kissing on Lake Travis at sunset, best shot ever, thanks to Ryan
-fitting into each one of your huge white pant legs
-that time I surprised you, pretending to make you come over to help me paint my place
-our water fight
-taking those photos the weekend right before you got into your motorcycle accident, last time your nose was ever the same :)
-seeing you again right after you came home from the ER after your motorcycle accident, I had never been so worried in my life
-That day on town lake right before we left for our summer of hell in galveston
-Green Day concert in Houston for our second anniversary
-Fourth of July on Congress Bridge--on the bridge and watching through the sunroof
-Orange and White Ball 2005
-Jim Jim's, every time, but when he took that photo of us
-every time your ears perked up when you smiled
-making the snowmen that February it snowed in Austin
-our 3rd anniversary, at Bellagio
-Dave Chappelle Live for our 3rd year
-UT vs. Kansas state game...leaving at halftime 52-0
-The sight of Ender's head resting on your arm with the windows down in your car.
