I never understood why people looked so forward to Friday nights or lunch hour until I started medical school. A break, an hour, a minute, what have you, is definitely much appreciated once your life in the "real world" ensues. Who ever knew that it'd be this hard?

With school this hectic, I am certainly beginning to appreciate the simpler things in life. Sunsets, sunrises, cool days, a good laugh--really can brighten up your day. Late night drives with the windows rolled down, in fair weather are definitely appreciated.

It's amazing to think how far we go in life, how much we change. I remember the first time I was in the driver's seat, I was timid, excited--definitely a bad driver. Driving was more stressful than it was fun. Now it's something I look forward to at the end of the night. It's one of those few moments in my busy day where I can just have a moment to myself, without having to worry about what I'm supposed to be doing. Responsibility is a bitch.

Whenever you're young, all you want to do is grow up and feel important. When you're old, all you want to do is be young again and have no responsibilities. It's all about perspective.
